The last few days have left me feeling worn out from all the problems with the RC I have encountered. Now after a few days on the RC I am considering holding off and using XP for as long as I can. The RC version failed to find a driver for my mobile phone too, some one left it out !! When I first used the beta version of windows 7 I was almost convinced this would be the one we would use, if things stayed the same and worked the same. This applies also to internet exporer, the black text has a colour fringe on osme pages, it doesnt in the beta version of windows 7. Font rendering ( is that the right description ? ) does work so good in the RC, firefox and thunderbird fonts dont look right, worse without cleartype. Copying files to a network drive takes a longer time too.
In the beta I had no program hangs or explorer crashes, in the RC I have had 5 in two days. I use the same programs in the RC as I did in the Beta and there is a difference in preformance.

The network icon, it needs to be animated ! Then I moved to a clean install of windows 7 RC, first thought was is there two versions of this windows 7 in developement because the RC version is a lot different from the beta ! For one thing, its slow.
What I dont like is the start menu, its not easy to navigate and slows productivity down, its not just me, my wife and daughter and a few friends tried it and said the same thing. I have used the beta version with pretty much good success I used the beta for about 4 weeks and was impressed by it, it worked good and pretty fast, drivers for some things where a small issue but it did find the drivers for my mobile while in its usb cradle ! Most programs ran as normal, firefox, thunderbird, my beloved call of duty 4 and some odd programs like the video E server for my cctv recorder and the Ndas driver for my media player, all in all, a pretty nice experiance for a early beta. I would like to add a few coments about windows 7 RC.
